Recently, Lanzhou New Area Free Trade Zone (FTZ) celebrated the first anniversary of operation. Since December 24, 2015, Lanzhou Customs has cleared 346 declarations of imports and exports from the New Area FTZ, involving 2,540.2 tons of cargoes worth USD740 million, with imports totaling 430 million dollars and exports 310 million dollars.
At present, Lanzhou New Area FTZ has more than 200 registered enterprises mainly involved in the business of fine chemicals, high-end equipment manufacturing, agricultural products and bio-pharmaceutical export processing and electronic industry, with import and export goods including integrated circuits, camera lenses, chip resistors, touch screens, TV sets, wristwatches, and agricultural products; this FTZ is a Customs special control area covering bonded processing, bonded warehousing, international trade, modern logistics, merchandise display, halal industry and other special industries.
Customs officers were providing business consultation for enterprises in Lanzhou New Area FTZ.
The first consignment was entering the FTZ under control.
