On November 1, Premier Li Keqiang and Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev of Russia witnessed the signing of several documents at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, which included an Agreement on Risk Management Cooperation between the General Administration of Customs of the People’s Republic of China and the Federal Customs Service of Russia as well as an Agreement on Exchange of Scanning pictures of Container Inspection Equipment between the General Administration of Customs of the People’s Republic of China and the Federal Customs Service of Russia. The documents, signed by both Minister Yu Guangzhou and Mr. Bulavin, Head of Russian Federal Customs service, are the fruitful results of the China-Russia Prime Ministers’ Regular Meeting Committee.
The two agreements are focused on streamlining customs clearance procedures, limiting risk and safeguarding bilateral trade security and facilitation.
