Jiangmen Customs Seizes IPR-Infringing Motorcycles Outbound
05/25/2019

Customs seizure of IPR-infringing motorcycles

Recently, Jiangmen Customs District seized a case of IPR infringement on the “JIALING” brand, detaining 387 motorcycles to be exported, with the value at 1,532,000 yuan.

These 387 motorcycles, branded with “达利 JALING”, were declared on April 24 by a Jiangmen-based trading company for the export to Turkey. Through customs inspection, the motorcycles were suspected of infringing the registered “JIALING” trademark of Chongqing JIALING Industrial Company Ltd. After contacting the trademark owner, the Customs confirmed the IPR infringement. Now, at the IPR holder’s guarantee and request, the export motorcycles are under customs control for IPR enforcement.
