On July 15, in Qingdao Customs District, Dagang Customs House fast released 1,949 passengers taking the liner “Legend of the Seas”. At 5:00 p.m., the big and luxurious passenger liner visiting Qingdao this year left the port, drawing a successful end to its home-port operation in 2016.
The “Legend of the Seas”, with passenger capacity of 2,000 persons, is the first luxurious liner taking Qingdao as home port, owned by global second liner operator---Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. The cruise's arrival showed that Qingdao cruise home-port has entered into the era of “large ships”. During July 5 to 15, the “Legend of the Seas” had finished totally 6 roundtrips from Qingdao to South Korea and Japan. To help passengers pass the Customs as soon as possible, Dagang Customs House put forward “one-stop” control model, making “no delay” on ship berthing with luggage check-in time cut down through concentrated collection, set up an information desk to provide onsite consulting service and distributed the “Instructions to Inbound and Outbound Passengers”.
According to statistics, the Customs House totally released the “Legend of the Seas” inbound and outbound passengers at 10,881 person-time, sailors at 3,612 person-time, and luggage at 32,624 piece-time.
