On April 25, Qingdao Customs District announced an infringement case in which 88,400 air-filter cartridges were seized for infringing “TOYOTA” trademark right. This case involved the largest quantity of infringing goods seized by Qingdao Customs District since this year.

On March 21, in Huangdao Customs House(affiliated to Qingdao Customs District), officers inspected a batch of exported goods declared as air-filter cartridges, totally 88,400 pieces worth RMB380,000 and found out that they were suspected of infringing “TOYOTA” trademark right that belongs to Toyota Motor Corporation. Afterwards, the IPR holder was contacted to identify the counterfeit and infringement.

In the first quarter of 2016, Qingdao Customs seized 24 cases of IPR infringement through cargo transport channel, involving more than 135,000 pieces of goods worth more than RMB3.5 million.
