On November 3, 137 firms located in Waigaoqiao Free Trade Zone (FTZ) of Shanghai Pilot FTZ were identified by Shanghai Customs District as “Advanced Certified Enterprises” with the certificates. Certified High-Grade Enterprises are provided with top facilitation in customs clearance.
“We will cherish the brand of ‘Advanced Certified Enterprise’ and do business honestly and legally to play an exemplary role,” said the enterprise representative Jeff Rittener, Vice President of Intel.
The Advanced Certified Enterprises will get more opportunities to be “prior to carry and try” reforms and innovations. The 137 firms are all applicable to the FTZ “23+8”innovative measures offered by Shanghai Customs and can use those innovations in combination to their individual needs.
Moreover, the Advanced Certified Enterprises will be allowed to go through clearance in a much simpler way, including lower proportion in inspection and priority in cargo inspection. Particularly, as AEOs mutually recognized between China Customs and foreign Customs, the Advanced Certified Enterprises can also enjoy preferential clearance facilitation provided by foreign Customs.
