Hangzhou Customs Ensures Boeing 737 Delivery at Zhoushan Port
12/18/2018

Under the control of Hangzhou Customs officers, one Boeing 737 airplane took off from Zhujiajian International Airport of Zhoushan, Zhejiang Province on December 16. This airplane is the first delivery after the Airport Subzone of Zhoushan Port Free Trade Zone (FTZ) began its business operation, signaling China (Zhejiang) Pilot FTZ has entered the era of aircraft manufacturing and processing.

The delivered Boeing 737 has earlier gone through interior decoration, overhaul and trial flight in the Boeing factory located in the Airport Subzone. To ensure the smooth delivery, Hangzhou Customs held operation coordinating meetings repeatedly with local industrial park management committee and Boeing Company to discuss such issues as Airport Subzone infrastructure, airplane clearance procedures, and customs control over the Subzone.

“Through detailed analyses of airplane entry-exit procedures, intra-zone processing and trial flight links, we worked out our control plans in light of Boeing requirements, so as to make all operations standardized,” said Zhang Minxia, head of Zhoushan Port FTZ Office, Zhoushan Customs House subordinate to Hangzhou Customs District.
