On Nov. 15, Vice Minister Sun Yibiao attended the 9^th session of the Port and Customs Cooperation Sub-Committee under the China-Kazakhstan Cooperation Committee which was held in Beijing.

Both Mr. Sun Yibiao and Mr. Amrin, Vice Chairman of the State Revenue Committee of Finance Ministry of the Republic of Kazakhstan reviewed the progress of key projects made since the 8^th session of the Sub-Committee meeting, summarized on the outcome of both Customs and Port Working Group Meeting. They positively commented on the consensus concerning pilot project of pre-arrival information exchange, joint supervision, mutual recognition of AEO programmes, green channel, trade statistics, anti-radiation navigation, enforcement collaboration, customs cooperation at regional level, and necessary support for port administration.

In addition, they exchanged views and reached consensus on such areas as effective linkage of new economic initiatives between the “Silk Road Economic Belt” and “Brightening Road”, increase cooperation on trade facilitation, law enforcement, and cooperation relating regional customs and port management.

At conclusion of the session, both Mr. Sun Yibiao and Mr. Amrin signed the Meeting Minutes.
