Customs-seized drugs — marijuana oil
On June 25, Hangzhou Customs intercepted an inward smuggling of drugs in a postal parcel. The seized drugs were marijuana oil, which is used with popular electronic cigarette. This case marked Hangzhou Customs’ first seizure of marijuana oil in the postal way since this year.
On January 15, Customs officers in the post office, stationed by Hangzhou Customs, inspected the inward parcel from USA with the declaration of “Male skin care” and found 6 boxes of e-cigarette oil in the parcel. Through identification, those e-cigarette oil contained tetra-hydro-cannabinol (a psychoactive substance extracted from marijuana), with marijuana oil totaling 6 grams.
Hangzhou Customs anti-smuggling officers captured the parcel addressee in Taizhou, Zhejiang Province, who allegedly reached an overseas seller by using mobile Wechat app and bought the drugs which were later mailed in; at present, this case has been transferred to local Procuratorate for review and prosecution.
