HK-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Customs Seizes IPR-Infringing Integrated Circuits 17,500pcs

In Gongbei Customs District, an export of integrated circuits was put under IPR enforcement by Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Customs House on December 31.

The Customs House received the export declaration on December 26. Through out-of-box inspection, customs officers found 17,500 integrated circuits printed with the “ANALOG DEVICES” trademark, worth over 7.46 million yuan, but the consignor having no certificate on the trademark use; with the suspicion of IPR infringement, the Customs House contacted the trademark owner for verification. Then, on December 30, those integrated circuits were confirmed to be infringing the “ANALOG DEVICES” trademark right registered with the GACC.

Reportedly, Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Customs House has handled 17 cases of IPR infringement in 2020.
