Hangzhou Customs Seizes Fake “Charge Pals”
12/06/2016

On November 23, relevant IPR holder confirmed that a batch of mobile power packs (called charge pals) seized by Hangzhou Customs, totaling 1,800 pieces, were all IPR-infringing products.

On October 25, when examining a consignment of export goods, officers of Zhoushan Customs, affiliated to Hangzhou Customs, found one carton appearing different inside the container. When opening the carton, they saw many charge pals in it. However, the declaration form told that the contents were padlocks and wall paintings; moreover, the red-and-white labels printed on the charge pal package did not match with the trademarks printed on the products.

Su Bin, an inspection officer of Zhoushan Customs, said: these undeclared charge pals show rough workmanship and their package labels are different from their trademark, so they are suspected of IPR infringement. And other cartons likely have the similar problem. As it turned out, the officers found 13 more cartons at the rear and the bottom in the container filled with such counterfeit charge pals, adding up to 1,800 pieces.

Customs officers were counting the seized IPR-infringing charge pals.
