Harbin Customs Serves “Green Expo” and “Rice Festival” Clearance
10/25/2019

The 7th Heilongjiang Green Food Industrial Expo (“Green Expo”) and the 2nd Heilongjiang International Rice Festival (“Rice Festival”) were opened to the public in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province on October 10. Harbin Customs provided efficient services for timely releasing foreign exhibits such as rice, rice wine, rice cakes and cookies from Japan, South Korea, Thailand and Myanmar.

According to Harbin Customs Division of Port Control, many measures have been taken to facilitate the clearance since earlier launch of preparations for the events. The Customs maintained a good coordinating mechanism with the event organizers; provided around-the-clock reservation service (including on holidays) to ensure clearance processing; on the “Single Window” and “internet+customs” platforms, provided a full set of services including exhibit registration, clearance, supervision and cancellation; formulated the Customs Clearance Notice for the Expo and Festival, giving detailed instructions to the exhibitors, and stationed personnel for consultation at the exhibition site. Meanwhile, at the ports of entry, the Customs set up special guest receptions, exhibit entry channels and service counters to give priority to the exhibition formalities on declaration, inspection, sample test, etc.
