Recently in Shijiazhuang Customs District, 112 boxes of Korean JM facial masks were presented for consumer experience in a physical showroom of Haimao (Caofeidian) E-Commerce Company, marking the implementation of bonded exhibition and sale for cross-border e-commerce commodities.

The bonded exhibition and sale means that bonded cross-border e-commerce commodities can be exhibited under bond outside of an bonded area and that, regarding their domestic sales, relevant duties and tax should be collectively paid to the Customs and, after the exhibition, the commodities can be returned into the bonded area. 

From now on, local consumers can enjoy the bonded exhibition and buy foreign commodities on the e-commerce platforms. Within personal purchase quota, they can get duty exemption and 30% discount of consumption tax and value-added tax. For local importers, the bonded exhibition and sale can speed up their commodity promotion at less cost.  

According to statistics, for January-to-November 2019, Caofeidian Free Trade Zone Customs House received import declarations of 217,600 consignments, valued at 205 million yuan.
