Zhengzhou Customs Helps Export Fur Products from Henan Province
06/22/2020

In Zhengzhou Customs District, more than 2,000 pairs of shorn sheepskin shoes were exported to the Netherlands through clearance formalities at Jiaozuo Customs House on June 2. From January till April, Jiaozuo City exported fur products totaling 280 million yuan worth to over 60 foreign countries/regions.

Henan Province majors in fur imports from abroad, with 30 million cattlehides and sheepskins imported each year, which are usually processed into leather products for export. During the epidemic period, many fur-processing firms have difficulty in importing raw materials and exporting products.

Accordingly, Jiaozuo Customs provides “point-to-point” supports for local processing firms, including the measures to minimize clearance time; postpone trade-handbook write-off; give tax relief for urgently-imported equipment, totaling 3,564,000 yuan in the relief; help with pest risk control by assessing the country of origin, commodity specification and other information; expedite clearance procedures such as by immediate inspection and release on arrival of import furs.

Now in Jiaozuo, 45 exporters of shorn sheepskin products have resumed their production and trade with the customs help.
