On July 20, it was learned that Dongguan Customs House (affiliated to Huangpu Customs District) has recently seized 100 controlled knives in an outward express mail.

On July 4, a company declared to Dongguan Customs’ mail control office for exporting “bottle openers”, totally in 5 boxes. Through X-ray inspection, the officers found the goods in one box appearing different from those in the other 4 boxes. Then, the officers opened the box and found out 100 controlled knives, instead of “bottle openers”. By China’s law, controlled knives are banned from entry and exit by post.

Dongguan Customs officers are inspecting the controlled knives seized in a mail to Hong Kong.
