On May 13, Vice Minister Sun Yibiao met with Mr. Umberto de Pretto, Secretary-General of International Road Transport Union at the Headquarters of GACC.

Sun Yibiao extended warm welcome to Mr. Pretto for attending the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation. Mr. Pretto spoke highly of the Belt and Road Initiative and expressed appreciation for being invited to the Forum. He also expressed his willingness to work closely with China Customs under the Belt and Road Initiative.

Both sides exchanged views on the following issues: to establish cooperative mechanism to participant in the Belt and Road Initiative; to push forward selection of guarantee institutions; to share experiences and carry out training program.

After the meeting, Sun Yibiao and Umberto de Pretto jointly signed Strategic Cooperation Arrangement between GACC and IRU on Promoting the Building of the International Logistics Corridor and the Implementation of the TIR Convention.
