On May 17-20, the International Federation of Customs Brokers Associations (IFCBA) biennial conference 2016 was held in Shanghai, where, Vice Minister Lu Peijun of the General Administration of Customs of China (GACC) made a welcome speech.

On May 18, Vice Minister Lu Peijun, on behalf of the GACC and Minister Yu Guangzhou, expressed his congratulation on the successful convention of the IFCBA conference. Availing this opportunity, he pledged that China Customs, in partnership with the private sector, will input new driving force in the global trade security and facilitation through “connectivity” that is enforced with compliance management and mutual trust, promoted with facilitative measures, supported with scientific innovation, guaranteed with capacity building, and upgraded with further openness and collaboration.

More than 400 participants from over 20 countries and regions attended the Conference, including Mr. Sergio Mujica, Deputy Secretary General of the WCO, Mr. Shantanu Bhadkamkar, Chair of the IFCBA, Ms. Carol West, Secretary of the IFCBA, and delegates from Australia, China, Japan, the U.S., etc.
