Xiamen Customs Helps Export New-Made Containers Abroad

On January 18, Xiamen Customs fast cleared 100 standard containers (40 feet long) in one export consignment.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, international logistics has slowed down, with cargo containers in short supply. According to Xiamen Pacific Container MFG Company Ltd., they are doing their utmost to ensure the highest productivity and timely delivery of new-made containers to the overseas markets.

For the fastest export of new-made containers, Xiamen Customs set up a special control workplace, formulating scientific transfer routes, to ensure orderly stockpile of different-sized containers at the exit; used customs-enterprise information exchange system to automatically identify export containers, thus further reducing clearance time and enhancing clearance efficiency.

In 2020, Xiamen Customs cleared a total of 73,844 new-made containers abroad, an increase of 41.8% year-on-year.
