On January 25, Tianjin Customs District announced that Tianjin Pilot Free Trade Zone (FTZ), since its formal establishment, has been significantly appealing to enterprises. Till December 31 last year, the Central Business District (CBD) in this FTZ received 344 more firms registered with the Customs, 4.73 times year-on-year, accounting for 77.83% of total quantity of the CBD firms.
Regarding North Hongxin (Tianjin) Customs Brokerage Company Limited that has just now been set up in the CBD, Company Manager LI Xinlei indicated that, in the past, more formalities and longer time were needed to set up a brokerage firm, but now the FTZ Customs House has canceled the setup approving formality and allowed the brokers to get Customs registration only, thus operational time and cost both reduced.
Additionally, to further help enterprise development in the Pilot FTZ, the Customs set independent service windows in the FTZ Administrative Service Hall to provide specific services for Customs registration, credit management, business consultation, etc. For example, the service window in the CBD Administrative License Hall, since the FTZ establishment, has processed more than 400 cases of broker, importer and exporter info registrations and alterations as well as more than 1,820 cases of business consultation.
