Shenyang Customs Seizes Endangered Mahogany Seeds
07/20/2017

On July 5, Shenyang Customs District-affiliated Jinzhou Customs seized 16 kilograms of mahogany seeds in an inward mail.

Wild mahogany was listed into the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species in 1998 and China has listed it into the plants banned from entry by carry or post. Now, Jinzhou Customs has transferred the seeds to local Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau.
