09/26/2019

Yunnan Province is China's largest supplier of fresh-cut flowers. Along with the “Belt and Road” progress, Yunnan-exported fresh-cut flowers have gradually been popular in the international market at good quality and competitive price, such varieties as gerbera, Chinese rose, and carnation being internationally favorite.

According to Kunming Customs statistics, from January to August, the Customs cleared export fresh-cut flowers totaling 12,374 batches, 7,894 tons and USD34.599 million worth.

Nowadays, foreign countries have strict quarantine requirements on import fresh-cut flowers. In order to help the export, Kunming Customs District is strict in registration of export flower plantations and package workshops, making paperless treatment online with e-signature; in light of enterprise credit and export risk, keeps relevant epidemic surveillance mechanism that begins with quarantine measures in the planting field; by advancing quarantine control to the processing and package stage, reduces port inspection frequencies to speed up the product certification and clearance; intensifies the quarantine process with standardized operations and complete records, so as to ensure the compliance with foreign quarantine requirements.
