In Lanzhou Customs District, 35.93 tons of frozen mutton (including mutton chops, tenderloin, knees and tendons) made in Huan County, Gansu Province, was supplied to Hong Kong SAR for the first time on May 22 after their inspection and quarantine was completed by Pingliang Customs House.

To ensure the smooth supply, the Customs supervised the mutton supplier to implement the requirements on export food hygiene and safety, making scientific arrangement for its slaughterhouses, warehouses, logistic channels, sterilizing facilities, etc.; helped the supplier optimize its management system of HACCP and get the qualification of registered export food manufacturer; informed the supplier of Hong Kong’s inspection standards on fresh frozen mutton and provided technical training for the supplier’s inspectors to enhance their quality control; offered clearance facilitation measures for the goods to be released as soon as possible.
