On January 6, 2018, when conducting regular inspections on inbound postal parcels, officers of Kunming Customs noticed abnormal images in scanning a parcel from the US to Dali, China. After further inspections, they found 4 packs of marijuana and one marijuana cigarette, totaling 112.55 grams, hidden in 3 boxes of food and daily necessities. In order not to alert the suspects, the parcel was delivered as usual. On January 7, officers of Anti-smuggling Bureau of Dali Customs arrested a man coming to pick up the parcel at a post office.
