On May 17, one fresh frozen blue-fin tuna, weighing 56.8 kilograms, was imported by sea to Yantai International Airport. Yantai Customs (affiliated to Qingdao Customs District) and local China Inspection & Quarantine (CIQ) agency jointly cleared the fish by the “joint inspection, single release” mode, quickly finishing the first import of such tuna into Shandong Province.

“The efficient Customs service has made us much more confident in expanding fresh frozen aquatic import,” said General Manager of Langyue Logistics Company Limited as the import agent. Seeing the convenient and fast clearance at the port, the Company will expand its import business of this kind.

Yantai Customs and CIQ were jointly inspecting the imported blue-fin tuna.
