In Ningbo Customs District, a batch of substandard feathers from the USA was destroyed for the first time by subordinate Cixi Customs House on March 29.

The import goods, weighing 7,932 kilograms and worth 46,000 US dollars, were originally declared as cleaned turkey feathers. But, through customs inspection, they were identified unclean because of containing import-banned substances such as feces and blood stains, showing inconsistency with the declared description. Therefore, according to law, the Customs conducted the destruction of these feathers.
