Till July 30, Zhanjiang Customs has investigated 18 cases of cigarette smuggling, valued at RMB346 million or so.

Since this year, Zhanjiang Customs District, by cooperation with local anti-smuggling organs, has been intensively gathering smuggling intelligence and taking special actions against land-route cross-customs-district smuggling of cigarette and has cracked major smuggling cases such as case“3.11” and case “4.21”, with seizure of 14 vehicles involved in the smuggling as well as more than 30,000 cartons of cigarettes.
