01/14/2016

Recently, Weihai Customs House (affiliated to Qingdao Customs District) seized ice drugs smuggled outward by a foreign passenger. The drugs were hidden in a medicinal desiccant packing bag, including 0.88-gram ice drug, 0.15-gram magu and 10.68-gram marihuana.

On November 3, at 14:33, when exercising control over outgoing passengers with luggage to take flight KE840, the officers noticed one nervous weary passenger hurrying to pass the checkpoint. Then the officers inspected his draw-bar box to find some drug-taking tools, medicine bottles, boxes as well as medicines.

Subsequently, the officers found out 4 translucent crystals in a desiccant bag in a medicine bottle. Through onsite test by methyl amphetamine detection kit (colloidal gold method), the four crystals showed positive results. Afterwards, those crystals were identified methyl amphetamine (ice drug) and other red tablets and tobacco shreds were magu and marihuana respectively.

Now the suspect has been put under criminal detention.
