In Shijiazhuang Customs District, a total of 6,431 breeding cattle from Uruguay passed 45 days of quarantine at Beidaihe Customs House on November 19.

This batch of imported cattle, being Angus and Hareford beef cattle, will be used for industrial poverty relief in Gansu Province and Inner Mongolia Region.

In order to ensure the entry quarantine, Beidaihe Customs House made the quarantine work plan in advance, supervising the quarantine station to disinfect and fumigate the cattle farm and fodder; it also assigned double personnel to 7×24-hour control at the station, conducting specified epidemic detection involving foot-and-mouth disease, tuberculosis, and viral diarrhea on each cattle, so as to achieve smooth clearance and border bio-security.
