Vice Minister Zhang Jiwen Visits Indonesia

Vice Minister Zhang Jiwen meets with Heru Pambudi, Director General of Directorate General of Customs and Excise of Indonesia.


Vice Minister Zhang Jiwen with his delegation visited Indonesia from November 27 to 30.


Zhang Jiwen met with Edhy Prabowo, Indonesian Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries, and Nilanto Perbowo, Secretary General of Ministry of Marine Affairs. The two sides exchanged views on strengthening the cooperation of safety assurance in the import and export of aquatic products. After the meeting, Zhang and Dr. IR. Rina, Director General of Fish Quarantine and Inspection Agency signed Cooperation Agreement between the General Administration of Customs of the People’s Republic of China and The Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries of the Republic of Indonesia on Safety Assurance in the Import and Export of Aquatic Products.


Vice Minister Zhang also discussed with Minister of Agriculture Syahrul Yasin Limpo and Director General of Agricultural Quarantine Agency Ir. Ali Jamil on Chinese fruits, vegetables and dairy products exported to Indonesia and Indonesian fruits, poultry and pork exported to China. Then, Zhang and Ir. Ali Jamil signed Protocol of Phytosanitary Requirements for the Export of Salacca Fruits from Indonesia to China between the General Administration of Customs of the People’s Republic of China and the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Indonesia.


During this visit, Vice Minister Zhang also exchanged opinions with Heru Pambudi, Director General of Directorate General of Customs and Excise of Indonesia on issues such as strengthening anti-smuggling enforcement, electronic information exchange of origin, mutual recognition of AEO, and cooperation on customs service.


Zhang Jiwen also visited Surabaya Customs and its shipping supervision site, and Indonesian food export establishments, and had a working talk with Chinese Ambassador to Indonesia, Xiao Qian and Consul General in Surabaya, Gu Jingqi.
