Driven by the strategy of high-speed rail going abroad, Ningbo Port is increasingly exporting railway equipment. According to Ningbo Customs statistics, during January-November 2015, railway equipment export via Ningbo Port totaled RMB 390 million, a great increase of 32.6 percent over the same period of 2014.
Ningbo Tongda Precise Casting Co., Ltd. is specialized in railway pipeline parts. Recently, the Company declared to Ningbo Customs for exporting a batch of railway parts (friction plates) worth USD 70,000, which were going to the USA for local railway construction.
“Benefiting from technology innovation and product upgrade, our railway parts are popular among foreign clients for high precision and quality. Since 2015, we have already exported railway parts worth USD 3.8 million, and the order sales are estimated to increase about 5 percent in 2016,” said Ms. Yu, Manager of Tongda Company. “Our export is relatively time-fixed and needs time efficiency in customs clearance. In recent years, Ningbo Customs has provided paperless clearance and green channel services to support and guarantee our delivery on time.
In response to the going-abroad strategy, Ningbo Customs has offered a series of services: assign staff to visit export enterprises; introduce customs policies and regulations as well as supporting measures; guide and solve problems on cargo classification and inspection by means of WeChat public platform, Customs-to-Business QQ group, Classification Studio, etc., thus creating a service model of “prior clearance without wait”, to ensure smooth clearance for enterprises.
