With the arrival of the summer, sunglasses are getting popular outdoors. In Xiamen Customs’ Quanzhou port, the Customs officers intercepted an incoming passenger carrying 610 pairs of "Ray-Ban" sunglasses, but surprisingly found the sunglasses all fake!
On May 9, at about 20:00, a male passenger from Manilagot to Jinjiang International Airport of Quanzhou. The Customs officers inspected his luggage, finding numerous white cartons filled with many styles of “Ray-Ban” sunglasses, totaling 610 pairs. When informed of Customs protection for intellectual property right (IPR), the passenger confessed that his sunglasses were IPR-infringing products. At present, the Customs has detained the fake sunglasses for further investigation.
