On the afternoon of October 26, Qinhuangdao Customs House (affiliated to Shijiazhuang Customs District) opened a green channel for faster clearance of an injured passenger to save time for the injured to hospital.

On October 26, at about 14:00, Qinhuangdao Customs House got a notice from QinRen Shipping Company that a passenger on the liner ship “New Tulip” was injured in an accident and so asked for faster clearance. On the information, the Customs House immediately made a “green channel” rescue plan, getting onsite officers to contact the Company for information about the injured passenger. Meanwhile, two experienced officers were sent to the wharf to receive the liner. When the ship berthed, they quickly released the injured passenger through easier formalities and assisted “120” first-aiders in getting the injured onto an ambulance, thus winning time for further medical treatment.
