From June 25 to 28, Vice Minister Zhang Jiwen attended the China-US-EU Consumer Product Safety Summit in the USA and made a study tour on solid waste material pre-shipment inspection.

Vice Minister Zhang co-chaired with Ms. Buerkle, Acting Chairman of US Consumer Product Safety Commission and Mr. Fonseca, Deputy Director-General of DG Justice and Consumers of the European Commission, the Sixth China-US-EU Consumer Product Safety Trilateral Summit and conducted bilateral discussions with the two principals respectively. Vice Minister Zhang also visited the consumer product safety laboratory.

During his stay, Vice Minister Zhang made a study tour on the pre-shipment inspection on waste paper and metal, held a working meeting with CCIC North America, and exchanged views with Mr. Zhu Hong, Minister for Commercial Affairs of the Chinese Embassy to the USA and Mr. Zhao Yumin, Acting Consul General of the Consulate General of China in New York.
