On June 29th, Minister Yu Guangzhou met Mr. Kessler, Director General of OLAF in Brussels, Belgium.
The two sides reviewed the progress of cooperation between China Customs and OLAF. Minister Yu put forward four proposals on promoting China-EU law enforcement cooperation. Firstly, to implement the arrangement of strategy cooperation and improve the effectiveness of law enforcement cooperation. Secondly, to jointly launch the second phrase of Operation, Snake, so as to consolidate the achievement of anti-fraud cooperation. Thirdly, to expand the cooperation and exert more efforts on fighting against smuggling through the third party transshipment. Fourthly, to implement the China-EU Customs Agreement and improve the case investigation assistance.
