Recently, in Dalian Customs District, Dadonggang Customs House and Donggang Inspection and Quarantine Bureau cooperated on passenger luggage control and jointly seized more than 800 succulent plants involving nearly 100 strains.
Reportedly a Chinese passenger carried those succulent plants inward by hiding them in three boxes. But finally they were found out by both Customs and CIQ officers. The passenger could not present any Quarantine Certificate issued by exporting country/region authority, so those plants were all detained for possible destruction or return in the charge of the Inspection and Quarantine Bureau.
