In Jiangmen Customs District, 30 flamingos from Thailand cleared customs at Heshan Customs House on May 1. Under the customs control, these flamingos were then transited to a local quarantine station.

In the station, during the quarantine period of 30 days, customs officers will conduct strict quarantine over the flamingos and ensure the proper feeding and epidemic prevention, including strict disinfection and bio-safety disposal on the flamingos’ cages, carriers and their excreta.   

After passing the quarantine, the imported flamingos will be settled in a local zoo.
