Recently, Shandong Rongcheng Ocean Fishing Co., Ltd. formally started to construct its Accra Ocean Fishing Base in Ghana. The ocean fishing base, integrated with fishing-vessel building/repair, aquatic product processing, fishing supplies and other functions, is expected to be fully put into use in Ghana 3 years later.
Zou Deyong, General Manager of the Company, said, “In the great time of in-depth reform, with ‘the Belt and Road’ strategy and Customs’ support, we are very confident of future market development.” During the course of planning the Ocean Fishing Base, Rongcheng Customs House of Qingdao Customs District provided door-to-door services totally six times, concerning tax-relief approval formalities for the aquatic products captured and sent back by the Company, regional clearance integration matters, and explanations of other reform measures, which further boosted the Company’s confidence in overseas exploration.
There are also many other enterprises with “the dream of ocean fishing” in Rongcheng, many of which have invested in and constructed fishing bases in Sri Lanka, Indonesia and other countries/regions by taking advantage of “the Belt and Road” strategic opportunity.
Therefore, Rongcheng Customs House sent professionals to hold over 20 policy information sessions in 13 ocean-fishing companies, tracked their development in Indonesia and other countries/regions, provided on-site guidance to their registration, clearance, inspection and other procedures with answers to their questions, and provided conveniences in their clearance for deep-processing of bulk aquatic products, cold chain logistics, and brand building.
