On April 18, the port of Qinhuangdao, Hebei Province witnessed the formal operation of “South Korea-China-Mongolia” international container train on sea-railway combined transportation.

Loaded with 46 containers of 40-foot length, this international train carried 392 tons goods with the total value of 7 million Yuan, including polyester fabrics, furniture, daily-use articles, foods, and used cars. With Incheon, South Korea as the port of departure, the goods were transported to Qinhuangdao by the passenger-cargo ship “Xin Yu Jin Xiang”, then reloaded from the ship onto the international train, afterwards transited on Eurasia Land Bridge to the border port of Erenhot for departure, and finally delivered to Ulan Bator, Mongolia.

Qinhuangdao Customs actively coordinated with Erenhot Customs, located in the departure place, to formulate controlling measures and streamline customs formalities. By taking measures as reserved overtime work, rapid clearance of the transit goods is achieved.
