On October 31, Minister Yu Guangzhou held a bilateral meeting with Mr. Nobuhisa SAGAWA, Director General of Customs and Tariff Bureau of Japan in Seoul, Korea.

Minister Yu made four proposals on enhancing customs cooperation. Firstly, the cooperation mechanism should be improved to lay a solid foundation for further cooperation. Secondly, the law-enforcement cooperation should be continually strengthened to ensure trade security. Thirdly, the AEO mutual recognition cooperation should be advanced to promote trade facilitation. Fourthly, the cooperation under multilateral and regional frameworks should be deepened for joint development of both sides.
