05/14/2020

According to statistics, this March, Guangzhou Customs cleared more than 2,700 tons of anti-epidemic supplies exported from Baiyun International Airport to Serbia, Iran, Iraq, Qatar and Turkey, including 8 chartered airlifts.

On March 26, at night, 3.84 million face masks were sent by a cargo plane from Baiyun International Airport to Belgrade, Serbia to support local anti-epidemic efforts.

On March 27, this Airport dispatched three outbound consignments of medical supplies including 5.7 million masks for France, 1.1 million masks for Italy, and 900 kilograms of medical devices such as ventilators and virus testing kits for Iran.

With increasing anti-epidemic supplies to export, the Airport Customs House, in liaison with the customs brokers, makes pre-examination of relevant documents and bills of materials; through an around-the-clock service counter, it provides guidance and support for the clearance formalities; in liaison with the freight depot, it helps efficiently handle the supplies by timely tracking the supplies status, trade mode and flight information; besides commodity classification service, it helps businesses apply for regulatory certificates; moreover, regarding urgently-needed supplies, the Customs gives advance release upon registration before completing their export formalities, so as to ensure the clearance without any delay.
