In 2017, Huangpu Customs had filed 164 criminal cases, valued at CNY 2.793 billion, and 3,321 administrative cases, valued at CNY 2.487 billion.

Under the deployment of the General Administration of Customs, Huangpu Customs carried out such campaigns in combating smuggling of key commodities as “HP2017” anti-smuggling campaigns on inbound magnesia, alcohol, second-hand cars, simulate guns, crystal meth, wine, photoelectric materials, rice, luxuries, second-hand printers and copiers as well as “HP Blue Sky” anti-smuggling campaigns on illegal trafficking of wastes. In 2017, Huangpu Customs had seized 163 kilograms of crystal meth, among which 84 kilograms were seized by conducting cross-border law-enforcement cooperation with Indonesian authorities. Besides, 140,300 tons of illegal wastes had been seized.
