Minister Yu Guangzhou Signs Agreement with Undersecretary of State and Chief of the Customs Service of Polish Ministry of Finance

On June 20, witnessed by Chinese President Xi Jinping and Polish President Andrzej Duda, Mr. Yu Guangzhou, Minister of the General Administration of Customs of China, and Mr. Marian Banas, Undersecretary of State and Chief of the Customs Service of Ministry of Finance of Poland, jointly signed the Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in Facilitating Customs Clearance between the General Administration of Customs of the People’s Republic of China and the Customs Service of the Republic of Poland in Warsaw, Poland.

 

This MOU was signed to implement the consensus reached on the 4th China and Central and Eastern Europe Countries’ Leaders’ Summit, and to boost Customs connectivity and cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative. The MOU determines the cooperative basic of Three Mutualand 8 aspects to work jointly to simplify customs clearance formalities.

 

On the same day, Minister Yu accompanied President Xi attending the Silk Road International Forum 2016, China-Poland Economic Forum, and the ceremony to mark the arrival in Poland of the first China-Europe Express Freight Train that was branded with the uniform logo of CHINA RAILWAY EXPRESS.
