Vice Minister Zou Zhiwu signs memorandum with Ms. Maria Jurado Borrego, Director General of Customs and Excises Department, Tax Agency of Spain.

Mr. Zou Zhiwu, Vice Minister of GACC, visited Spain from October 31 to November 3.

Mr. Zou met with Ms. Maria Jurado Borrego, Director General of Customs and Excises Department, Tax Agency of Spain, reached consencus on deepening cooperation in the field of SSTL, AEO mutual recognition and fight against commercial fraud, and signed a memorandum of information exchange. He held a bilateral meeting with Mr. Fernando Miranda Sotillos, Vice Minister for Agriculture and Food of Spain, exchanged in depth views on lifting the ban of animal epidemics, market access for agri-food as well as cooperation in electronic certificates, and signed protocols for exporting olive paste and pet food from Spain to China. He also visited a boarder inspection station in Valencia and witnessed the process of customs inspection, animal and plant quarantine, and quality inspection.

During his stay, Vice Minister Zou also visited the Madrid branch of China Europe Express “YiXinOu” and the Valencia branch of COSCO Shipping Co., and met with Mr. Lv Fan, Chinese ambassador to Spain.
