On January 23-24, Minister Yu Guangzhou signed document and met with the heads of related government departments of Islamic Republic of Iran in Teheran.
Minister Yu Guangzhou signed with Mr. Ali TAIEBNIA,Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance of Iran, the STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP On the Implementation of the Intergovernmental Agreement on Customs Cooperation between the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China and the Customs Administration of the Islamic republic of Iran.
During the bilateral meeting with Mr. Masoud Karbasian, Deputy Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance of Iran and President of Iran Customs Administration, Minister Yu commented on the friendly and cooperative relations between the two Customs. The two sides reached consensus on jointly building the Silk Road Economic Belt, actively implementing the STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP, conducting customs enforcement cooperation, increasing experience sharing and information exchanges, promoting capacity building cooperation, strengthening cooperation between customs and business as well as enhancing multilateral collaboration and cooperation. Minister Yu made three proposals on further strengthening cooperation. Firstly, the two sides should take “jointly building the Silk Road Economic Belt” as an opportunity to promote regional connectivity. Secondly, starting from pragmatic cooperation projects, the two sides should further deepen their cooperation. Thirdly, aiming at expanding the cooperation scale, the two Customs should explore new ways of cooperation.
Accompanied by Deputy President of Iran Customs Administration, Minister Yu paid a field visit to Tehran Western Customs to learn information management procedure, customs clearance system and transit control of Iran Customs. The two sides also exchanged views on customs control on cross- border E-commerce.
