Recently, in Ningbo Customs District, Beilun Customs House released an outbound batch of frozen squids (sleeve fish) in a faster way to ensure the export on schedule. And subsequently the export agent sent a letter of thanks to Ningbo Customs, singing high praise for their quality service.

On one afternoon in early November, Declarer Yang Chen from Sinotrans Ningbo Int’l Trans Agent Co., Ltd. hurried to No. 3 Inspection Section of Beilun Customs House for help because an outbound batch of frozen squids operated by the Agent Company on behalf of Zhejiang Da Yang Aquatic Product Company, for special reason, was delayed in transit to the port and likely to miss prescribed shipping date.

Yang asked for help, “it will take more than one hour to finish moving the containers and our overseas customer is very anxious to get these squids in time, so could you inspect them right now?”After learning specific circumstances, Deputy Section Chief Shen Yaocheng of the Section of Inspection immediately assigned personnel to the inspection at overtime by coordinating wharfs and checkpoints on the basis of regulatory compliance. At 17:00 that day, that batch of frozen squids were smoothly exported through customs formalities.
