On June 26, Minister Yu Guangzhou met Ms. Therese Mattson, Director General of Swedish Customs, in Dalian.

Minister Yu Guangzhou spoke highly of bilateral cooperation between the two Customs and put forward three proposals on furthering cooperation. Firstly, to upgrade customs cooperation by signing and implementing the Action Plan on Strategic Cooperation between the General Administration of Customs of the People’s Republic of China and Swedish Customs of the Kingdom of Sweden. Secondly, to maintain trade order by enhancing law enforcement cooperation including strengthening information exchange and IPR protection. Thirdly, to promote trade facilitation by carrying out experience exchange and joint study themed on customs control on cross border e-commerce.

Ms. Mattson agreed with the proposals and expressed readiness to build closer partnership with China customs to jointly serve economic and trade development between China and Sweden.
