On February 16, Manzhouli Customs seized over 2,400 kilograms of frozen fishes and meat smuggled-in with a car.
In the morning, one white microbus from Mongolia entered Customs control area of the Ebuduge port. Under Customs instruction, the Mongolian driver opened the side door of the car to show the car was filled with many items wrapped by cardboards and bags; but, when the back door was opened, it was shocking to find that numerous big fishes with protruding eyes and bleeding mouth and a lot of red frozen meat were stacked in the microbus.
Through investigation, over 1,000kg frozen fishes and 1,400kg frozen meat were hidden inside the car. It was the largest one of such smuggling cases seized at the port since 20 years ago.
