On July 19, a bilateral meeting was held in Paris between Mr. Hu Wei, Vice Minister of GACC and Ms. Hélène Crocquevieille, Director General of Customs and Indirect Duties of France as well as Deputy Director General Jean-Michel Thillier, during which both sides delivered an overall assessment on the cooperation between China and France customs authorities.
They also exchanged ideas and agreed to sign and implement the new agreement on the cooperation of customs technique, to further strengthen the collaboration in intellectual property rights protection, law enforcement and the application of supervisory equipments, to push forward China-Europe AEO mutual recognition, and to delegate more staff to accredited organizations.
Apart from this, Vice Minister Hu Wei and Director General Hélène Crocquevieille signed the Agreement on Customs Technique Cooperation between the General Administration of Customs of the People’s Republic of China and the Directorate General of Customs and Indirect Duties of the Republic of France.
On the same day, Vice Minister Hu visited the customs operational field of Coutrevroult Border.
On July 21, Vice Minister Hu paid a visit to Bordeaux Customs, to know about the laboratory and wine supervision. He visited the French Customs Museum as well.
