But according to the regulations, this kind of plants is banned from entry. Recently, Gaoqi Airport Customs House (affiliated to Xiamen Customs District) seized a batch of succulents illegally carried by inward passengers. The seized plants were more than 100 in number and totally 31kg in weight. It is the first time that Xiamen Customs District seized such plants during passenger and luggage control.

On October 23, at 23:00, three Korean passengers arrived at Xiamen from Seoul by the flight MF872. When exercising control, Customs officers suspected that there were living plants in their luggage. By open-package inspection, officers found the above succulents wrapped by tissue paper in two suitcases of luggage, one carton and one backpack.
