On March 31, “LiCheng”, an ocean-going ship with 155-ton peanuts from Qingdao Qingyihe Foods Company Limited, departed from the Qingdao port. This export has been the Company's 9th consignment of peanut and the largest-volume consignment since this year. Zhan Baolei, the company manager said with satisfaction,“this year, our orders have witnessed great increase and we've got substantial benefits" due to customs policy support and clearance services, with competitiveness of peanuts greatly enhanced in overseas markets.
Peanut is a major exporting agricultural product of Shandong province. To support the export of the product with traditional advantages and improve its industrial competitiveness, Dagang Customs House (affiliated to Qingdao Customs District) visited peanut export companies in the district, listening to their demands and providing policy guidance for faster customs clearance as well as export refund, and set up a “green channel” to provide 24-hour reservation and overtime service for urgent export, thus ensuring faster customs clearance.
According to the customs statistics, in the first quarter of 2016, Dagang Customs released 29,000 tons of exported peanuts, seeing an increase of 11.5% year on year.
Customs officers were inspecting the initial peanut processing on site.
Customs officers were inspecting at the finished peanut product warehouse.
